Fall is Upon Us: Here Are Few Affordable Items To Use For A DIY Wreath

October is just around the corner, and with it comes the crisp air, vibrant colors, and cozy vibes that define the fall season! 🍂 Fall is one of my favorite times of the year, and I absolutely adore incorporating the rich, warm hues of autumn into my home decor. There’s just something about fall that feels welcoming and nostalgic.

One of my go-to decor items for fall? A wreath! It’s the perfect way to dress up your front door, add a seasonal touch to your entryway, or bring some cozy charm to any room in the house. When we moved into our first home, I decided to dive headfirst into home decor and, of course, DIY projects. One of my first DIY adventures was making this fall wreath, and let me tell you, I didn’t want to break the bank doing it.

As a former elementary school teacher, I know all about stretching a dollar, and Dollar Tree is one of my absolute favorite places for crafting supplies. 💡 I managed to get everything I needed for this beautiful wreath for under $12—yes, you read that right! Affordable and adorable? It doesn’t get much better than that!

Why I Love DIY Fall Wreaths

Making a wreath is such a simple yet rewarding project. Not only do you get a personalized, handcrafted piece of decor, but it’s also a fun way to experiment with colors and textures. Every fall, I pull out this wreath I made and love seeing how it adds that perfect autumnal touch to our home.

What’s even better is that I can use this wreath year after year, and if I ever want to switch things up, I can easily add new flowers or ribbons to give it a refresh!

DIY Dollar Tree Fall Wreath – What You’ll Need:

Here’s a list of the supplies I used, all from Dollar Tree. You can mix and match the items based on your personal style, but these basics will help you create a gorgeous fall wreath without spending a fortune!

  • Wreath Form: You can find these in the floral section. I used a wire form, but a foam form works too!
  • Fall Flowers & Leaves: Grab a few bunches of faux fall florals, like sunflowers, mums, or leaves. I chose a mix of oranges, reds, and yellows for that classic fall look.
  • Ribbon: At least two rolls of ribbon. Look for patterns or colors that complement your flowers.
  • Floral Wire: To secure your flowers and ribbon in place.
  • Hot Glue Gun: This is optional but can be handy for attaching smaller items or securing loose ends.

Let’s Get Crafting!

The best part about this project is that it’s customizable and easy. Arrange the flowers in any way that suits your style and use the ribbon to add a pop of texture or a cute bow! You can create something elegant and understated or go bold and colorful—it’s entirely up to you.

In just a short time, you’ll have a beautiful, handcrafted fall wreath to welcome in the new season.

Final Thoughts:

Fall is all about warmth, family, and creating a home that feels inviting. DIY projects like this wreath are a fun, affordable way to bring that seasonal charm into your space. Plus, knowing that you made it yourself adds a personal touch that store-bought decor just can’t match!

I can’t wait to hang this wreath on my front door again this year—it’s a little reminder of how much I love fall and all the joy it brings.

So, if you’re ready to embrace the season, head over to your local Dollar Tree, grab some supplies, and get crafting! 🍁 What DIY projects are you planning for this fall? Share your ideas in the comments—I’d love to hear from you!

Happy fall, y’all! 🍂
